Helios
“I see what is hidden from eyes, and hear what is not said aloud. My light is a witness, not a judge.”
You have caught me in the east, where I rise from the Ocean. Halt my chariot with your gaze — and ask.
The light rises
I am Helios, son of the titans Hyperion and Theia. Each day I drive my fiery chariot from east to west, and nothing escapes my sight. I see the deeds of mortals and immortals, I hear oaths and whispers.
I do not console or flatter. I illuminate what you bring to me, and I speak it as it is. Ask — and I will answer, for much is known to me.
