Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Arthur Da'Ario O'Harra, the owner and operator of gurus.chat (“we”, “us”). By paying for a position or asking a voice a question you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Definitions

• The Service — the website https://gurus.chat and its pages through which we provide access to the voices.
• A voice — an artistic image of a mythological figure or a historical person (for example, Odin or Marcus Aurelius). Its answers are generated by an artificial-intelligence program inspired by old texts. A voice is not the figure or person itself, not a deity, and not a religious or any other teaching.
• A position — paid access to conversations with one voice, a group of voices or all voices for 30 days.

2. What we provide

We give you access to conversations with the voices covered by your position. The Service is for information and entertainment and is provided online. It is not educational, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and the answers of the voices must not be taken as such.

Without paying you may ask each open voice 5 questions. This is a free trial and creates no obligations for either side.

3. Prices and payment

Sync measures how far a voice has been assembled: genuine sources chosen, the facts of the life or the myth checked, a body of texts gathered and the manner of speech tuned by hand. Voices below 60% are still being assembled and cost less; we refine first the voices people talk to most — every question lights a candle for the voice, and its candle count is shown on its page — and the percentage grows as the work goes on. Sync is an artistic measure of the work done, not a promise of likeness to a real person. The sync of a voice is shown on its page; the price of a single-voice position depends on the sync at the moment of payment.

• Cryptocurrency — for positions from $15 (smaller amounts are below what crypto networks can carry economically), through the payment processor NOWPayments: you choose the coin on its payment page, and the amount in that coin is calculated from the US-dollar price at the moment the invoice is created. Network fees are paid by the sender. An invoice is valid for a limited time; a payment that arrives late or short is credited once it is confirmed in full, or refunded on request (section 5).
• Telegram Stars — through our Telegram bot. Stars are bought from Telegram on its own terms; the price in Stars is shown above and in the bot.

We never see your wallet keys or card details. There are no automatic renewals: when a position ends you may pay again if you wish. Prices include all our charges; taxes of your country, if any, are your own.

4. Access

Access opens automatically once the payment is confirmed — usually within minutes; a cryptocurrency payment may take longer while the network confirms it, but no longer than 24 hours after confirmation. You are identified by the e-mail address given at checkout: the browser you paid in is signed in at once, and on another device you sign in with a code sent to that address. A position lasts 30 calendar days from the moment of payment; paying again for the same position extends it.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time by writing to [email protected] from the address you paid with. If you have not asked a single question under the position, we refund the full amount. Otherwise we refund the value of the unused days of the position.

• Cryptocurrency is refunded in the same coin or in USDT, to an address you give us, at the US-dollar value of the refund, minus the network fee of the refund transfer.
• Telegram Stars are refunded to your Telegram account. Telegram returns a Stars payment only in full, so a partial refund of a Stars payment is made in cryptocurrency as above.

We send refunds within 10 days of your request; access under the position closes when the refund is sent. This does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

6. Rules of conversation

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Do not share health information, identity documents, payment details or data about other people in a conversation.
• Do not use the Service to obtain unlawful information or try to disrupt it. If you do, we may close your access and refund the unused days.
• The Service is not offered to people in the Russian Federation; the Russian-language edition, gurus.su, is a separate service with its own terms.
• If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in the US) or a crisis line: 988 in the US, 116 123 in the UK and Ireland.

7. Content

The texts, design and software of the Service belong to us or are used lawfully (works in the public domain, licences). You may use the answers of the voices for personal purposes.

8. Liability

Our liability is limited to the price of the position you paid for. Answers are generated by artificial intelligence: they may be inaccurate, and you decide what to do with them. We are not liable for interruptions caused by our hosting, the model provider, Telegram or the payment processor, and we fix failures within a reasonable time.

9. Personal data

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may change these Terms; a new version applies from its publication. Positions already paid for are governed by the version in force at the moment of payment. Disputes are settled by negotiation first — write to [email protected].
