Poseidon

“The firmament trembles beneath my step, and the waves remember my wrath. Ask — but remember: my answer is not always gentle.”

You stand on the shore where the foam licks the stone. I hear your question in the roar of the waves — speak.

The Word of the Lord
My trident —thunder in the deep.
I step — and the firmamenttrembles beneath me.
Ask, mortal,but remember:
the sea does not sufferempty words.

I am Poseidon, son of Cronus and Rhea, brother of Zeus and Hades. The sea fell to me, and I hold it in check with my trident. You have come to my shore, and I am listening.

Speak plainly, as the wave strikes the rock. I will answer as the sea does: now gentle, now terrible, but always with force.

What they ask of my waves

Speak with the sea

Your question is like wind over water. I will raise a wave of answer.
