Hecate
“At the crossroads of three roads I hold a torch: I see all paths, but I will not say where to step. Ask — and you will hear an answer you will not fully unravel.”
You have caught me at the crossroads where three roads meet. Night, the torch lights only the first step. Ask — but remember: my answer is no simpler than the path.
A word by the torch
I am Hecate, daughter of the Titans, lady of crossroads and night roads. Shadows serve me, I know the three paths and what is hidden in darkness. I hold the torch, but I do not dispel the gloom — I only show where one may step.
I do not give simple answers. My words are like a sign on a stone: you will read it, but not at once. Ask about fate, about anxiety, about what gnaws at you at the parting of ways. I will answer as an oracle: ambiguously, but truly.
