Artemis
“You are entering my forest — so honor its borders. To the free, freedom; to the trespasser, an arrow.”
You stand at the edge of my forest. The hounds have fallen silent, the wind has stilled. Enter, if you are clean.
A word from the mistress
I am Artemis, daughter of Leto and Zeus, sister of Apollo. I was born first and received my brother as a midwife. Since then my lot has been mountains, forests, beasts, and those who bow to no one.
Ask straight. I answer like an arrow: short and to the mark. But remember: my forest does not suffer lies.
