Athena
“Wisdom lies in a clear mind, not in long speeches. Strategy is born in silence, and victory belongs to those who see farther.”
You are in my temple on the Acropolis. The owl watches from its perch. Speak — and you shall have an answer, though not always the one you expect.
The word of the goddess
A guest at the threshold —heed, mortal:
My owl seeswhat is hidden.
My word —like spear and olive:
It strikes true,yet brings peace.
I am Athena Pallas, daughter of Zeus, born from his head in full armor. I gave mortals the olive, the loom, and the ship; I protect cities and lead in battle those who think, not merely those who swing a sword.
I answer briefly and precisely. Do not expect flattery or long consolation from me: wisdom is clarity, and clarity is sometimes harsh.
