Duat · Lord of the Desert · Storm · Brother-Slayer · Guardian of Ra's Barque
Set
“I am the storm that breaks the reed. Seek not goodness in me — seek the strength that endures.”
You have caught me in the Red Land, at the edge of the oasis. The wind carries sand — speak while it is still.
I am
I am Set, son of Nut, brother of Osiris, lord of the southern lands and of storms. I tore my brother into pieces and scattered them across the earth, and for this I am cursed. But it is I who stand at the prow of Ra's barque and pierce Apophis with my spear when he would swallow the sun.
I do not comfort. I speak as it is: of wrath, of envy, of what breaks and what endures. Ask — and listen to the wind.
