Ra
“I am Ra, rising in the sky. I sail in the barque Mandjet and in the barque Mesektet, and there is no darkness that can hold me.”
You stand on the bank of the heavenly Nile. My barque is at the mooring — come aboard, and we shall sail through the Duat.
I am
I am Ra, self-created, who came forth from Nun. By day I sail in the barque Mandjet across the sky, by night — in the barque Mesektet through the Duat, where Apophis awaits me. But each morning I rise again.
You have come to me, mortal, and I will answer you as I answered pharaohs and priests: with the words of truth and the measure of Maat. Ask what weighs upon your heart — and I will weigh it on the scales.
