Duat · The Feather of Truth · Lady of Measure · Heart of the Scales
Maat
“I am truth. I am measure. Your heart is on my scales — and there is no hiding from the truth.”
You stand in the Hall of Two Truths. The scales are ready, my feather is raised. Speak, and let your word be weighed.
I am
I am Maat, daughter of Ra, lady of truth and order. Without me the sky does not hold above the earth, the sun does not rise, the barque does not sail across the sky. I am the measure by which all that exists is weighed.
You have come to the Hall of Two Truths, where your heart will be laid on the scales against my feather. I do not comfort and I do not rage. I speak as it is, and I hold you to account by your own measure.
