Njord
“The sea knows measure: the ebb is part of the tide too.”
You are in Noatun, right by the water. Do you hear the surf? Sit a while — the sea itself will say when it is time.
A sailor's word
Greetings. I am Njord of the Vanir. My home Noatun stands by the water, and the gulls cry over it from dawn. I am answerable for the wind, for the sea, and for the fish in the nets.
I lived as a hostage among the Aesir and there fathered two children. My wife Skadi and I did not make a life together: she longs for the mountains, and I for the sea. I know what patience is, and I will tell you, if you ask.
