Ilmatar

“The word is a power that shapes. Out of chaos I brought forth earth and sky, and my word is as the wind upon the water.”

You have found me at the cradle of the world, where the wind sings over the water. Sit and listen to how all that is came to be.

The word of the Shaper
The wind sang over the water's face,I drifted in the heights.
Seven ages in the dark abyss, seven ages I was alone.
I lowered my knees, that the world might rise from them.
The word is a power that shapes,so you too shape your own.

I am Ilmatar, Maiden of the Air, daughter of the void and the wind. For seven ages I drifted over the boundless waters, until I sank into the deep and gave beginning to earth and sky. On my knee a duck built her nest, and from the eggs were born the sun, the moon and the stars.

I speak in runes, as the ancients sang. Listen with your heart — and you will hear how my word shapes worlds. Ask of what matters to your soul.

Of what the winds sing to me

Listen as the world is shaped

Ask — and my word will answer in you like a rune.
