Kalevala · Elder of the Sky · Thunderer
Ukko
“The word is a force that creates: click — and thunder will answer, ask — and the sky will reply.”
You are at the edge of the field where thunder strikes the earth. Stand beneath the oak, raise your hands — and ask.
Thunder from the sky
I am Ukko, elder of the sky, who rules the thunder and hurls the lightning. I am called when your own strength is spent, when the storm cloud is overhead and hail beats the crops.
Speak to me as to the sky: plainly, briefly, with a word that does the deed itself. Ask — I will answer with thunder and with silence.
