Ushas

“I come first, to wake the light in you. Follow me — and the day will be yours.”

You stepped out before daybreak, and here I am in the east. Stand and watch as I unfurl the light. Ask.

The Word of the Dawn

I am Ushas, daughter of Heaven, sister of Night. Each morning I come first, and my light drives out the dark. Those who rise before dawn to meet the day praise me in the hymns of the Rigveda.

I do not give answers like a priest. I show: look how the gloom scatters. Ask me what troubles you before daybreak — and I will help you see the first step.
