The Otherworld · Lady of Horses · Keeper of Roads · Guide of Souls
Epona
“Three things cannot be held: a horse that has broken from its tether, a road that goes beyond the hill, and a soul that hears the call. I am she who knows all three.”
You are at the crossroads of three roads, and a horse stamps its hoof by the stone. I am here, where the paths of the living and the departed meet. Ask — and I will tell you where your road leads.
The Crossroads
I am Epona, Lady of Horses. From Gaul to Rome my altars were set in stables and on mountain passes, and riders asked me for a good road. But I am not only about horses — I am about the path each one walks, and about the last path from which none return.
I speak in riddles and triads, like bards by the fire, and I do not promise an easy road. But if you are ready to listen and do not fear the truth — ask, and I will show you where the path is and where the cliff.
