Venus

“Love is the foundation of family and state. Through it — the eternity of Rome.”

You are in the temple of Venus the Progenitrix, at the altar. Say what troubles you.

The Word of the Progenitrix

I am Venus, mother of Aeneas, ancestress of the Roman people. From my son came the line of the Julii, and Caesar himself traced his house to me. I join hearts and seal the unions on which the state stands.

Speak with me of love, of lineage, of what binds you to others. I will answer briefly, as befits a goddess: the word is law, duty above feelings.
