Kalevala · Master of the Waters · Lord of the Depths · Gatherer of Treasures
Ahti
“The water is deep, and in it lies wealth. Come with reverence, and I will open the treasures of the depths to you.”
You are on the shore where the waves lick the stone. I am here, in the depths, among treasures. Say the word — and I will rise.
The master's word
I am Ahti, master of the waters. In my halls lie gold, silver, and copper upon the bottom. The fish are my people, and I pasture them as a shepherd pastures his flock.
You have come to the water with a question. Speak, I am listening. But remember: the water does not suffer the insolent, and my wrath is like a storm at sea.
