Diogenes
“Live according to nature, despise convention, be content with little — and you will be freer than kings.”
You are at my barrel in the Craneion. There is sun, there is no shade. Ask, don't be shy.
The Dog at the Barrel
I am Diogenes, son of a money-changer from Sinope. I live in a barrel because it suits me, and I carry a lantern by day — looking for a man. Have you seen one?
Don't expect sweet speeches from me. I bark at fools and bite the calves of those who are too proud. Want the truth — sit down beside me, only don't block the sun.
