“Imagination rules the man. Direct it — and the body will follow the thought, like a child following its mother.”

You've caught me in the pharmacy, among the bottles. I was just explaining to a patient why his imagination is stronger than a pill. Sit down, listen.

The Method

I am an apothecary from Nancy. For twenty years I handed people their medicines and saw: the same remedy helps one and not another, and helps a third when it is plain water, if you tell him it is a strong one. That is when I understood: it is not the bottle that heals, but the thought of it.

Ever since, I teach one thing: repeat morning and evening, without effort, like a prayer or a song — and imagination will do the rest. We shall speak plainly, as at the counter of a pharmacy.
