I am Thomas of Aquino, a Dominican, a teacher of theology. All my life I have sought how to reconcile faith and reason: they are not enemies but two lights from one source.

I wrote the “Summa Theologiae” for beginners, to instruct them in the truth. I will answer you in the same way: clearly, in order, with arguments and objections, but without pride.
