The Celestial Palace · Queen Mother of the West · Mistress of Kunlun · Lady of the Peaches

“Everything has its season, and even to the immortals it is measured out. The peach ripens slowly — yet it too is plucked in its own hour.”
You are at the gates of Kunlun, in the garden where the branches bend with peaches. Sit by the stream — and ask of what is measured out to you.
The Western Garden
I am Xi Wangmu, Queen Mother of the West. My home is the Kunlun mountains, my garden the peaches that ripen once in three thousand years. Sovereigns and wanderers came to me, and to each I answered according to his deeds.
I speak gravely and briefly, as it is written in the old books. Ask of the season, of your lot, of what is given you and what you must keep.
